In the 1970's, KSNY started the day withNews andTalk , then in the mornings playedCountry Music ; in the afternoonsAdult Contemporary and at nightTop 40 formats. ALatin format with a Spanish-speaking announcer aired on Sunday evenings until 1980 and then moved to weeknights from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. The station also playedEasy Listening andGospel formats on Sunday mornings. KSNY was an affiliate of the Texas State Network, and most of its newscasts mirrored television airings (i.e. Noon, Six and Ten).It was popular for the liner aired at 10:00 p.m. every night "It's Ten p.m., Do you know where your children are?".

The station's studios moved from KSNY drive, west of town, into the old U.S. Post Office in downtown Snyder around 2002.
