"Sorcerer Lord" is turn based strategy-fantasy game published and developed by now defunct Personal Software Services. It was first released in 1987 for ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC. During next 2 years game will be released for Commodore 64, Atari ST, DOS and Amiga.

Game

Shadowlord army is trying to overrun country of Galanor in which are existing 3 human kingdoms, together with forest kingdom of elves, barbarians and 2 kingdoms of mountain warriors [PSS instruction manual] . Human player is Sorcerer lord which is commanding forces of Galanor Alliance against Shadowlord which is controled by computer.

During game human player and computer are alternately recruit and moving troops on 2D hex map. Aim of game for Sorcer Lord is to resist the initial attack of Shadowlords army and prevent him from holding any Galanor city or any magical Rune Rings for more of 11 days [PSS instruction manual] . Similar to this human player will be defeated if Shadowlord take Galanor capital [PSS instruction manual] .

Before starting any battle Sorcer Lord must look very good which soldiers of which kingdom he will use: Elves soldiers are having bonus during forest battles, barbarians are riders with desert and plain bonuses, mountain warriors are having mountain and siege bonus and few of humans leaders are having magic bonus. Similar thing is with movement bonuses where Elves are moving faster of others in forest, barbarians in desert.... [PSS instruction manual] .
