William and Mary Quarterly

"The William and Mary Quarterly" is a quarterly history journal published by the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture. It is among the leading academic journals for the history of the Americas and the "Atlantic world" from the fifteenth to the early nineteenth centuries, including the Caribbean, West Africa, and the Spanish American borderlands.

The journal is named for the College of William and Mary where it was founded in 1892.

"The William and Mary Quarterly" has been published in three successive series, with volume numbers repeating with each new series. The journal's first series of 27 volumes runs from 1892 to 1919. The second series begins in 1921 and ends in 1943. The third series begins in 1944 and runs through the present.

The journal is available online through the JSTOR service, or to subscribers through the History Cooperative website.
