Robert Taylor (merchant)

Sir Robert Taylor (died April 1921) was a British businessman in the Indian trade. He was senior partner with John Taylor & Sons Ltd, India merchants, and a director of the Mysore Gold Mining Company Ltd.

He was knighted in the 1920 New Year Honours for his services to India. [LondonGazette |issue=31712 |date=30 December 1919 |startpage=3 |supp=yes] John Taylor & Sons Ltd went into receivership in 1922, the year after his death.
