Life history

The daughter of a diplomat, Ipsita spent much of her early life in Canada, where her father was stationed. While on vacation in the Laurentian mountains, she discovered Wicca and learnt it.

Since returning to India, she has become known for her writings on Wicca. She used to advocate Wiccan ways of healing the mind and advice people on day to day problems and their solutions. In 1998, she campaigned against witch-hunts while an Indian National Congress candidate for the Parliament of India in the Hooghly district, but was not elected.
