Maqaabul

Maqaabul is a sub clan of the larger tribe of the Ogaden. The Maqaabul tribes inhabit mainly the Doollo region of the Ethiopian Somali Region. Major towns are Wardheer, Walwaal, Danood, Garloogube, Waafdhuug and Yucub. They also live in Jubada Dhexe of Somalia; right by the border of the neighboring Kenya. Some of the fiercest battles between the UIC and the Ethiopian Backed TFG took place there including the US air strikes

Important persons of the Makaahiil Tribes are:
*Xussein Dhiqle, a high ranking Dervish or Darwiish.
*Dhoodaan, a well known poet, known by all somalis.
*Cabdirashiid Xidig, a member of the Somali Parliament.
