Brett A. Wallace (born August, 26 1986 is currently a Third baseman for the Springfield Cardinals, the AA affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. On August 19, 2008, he was promoted from Quad Cities River Bandits to Sringfield, surpassed High A Palm Beach Cardinals.

Wallace was drafted by the Cardinals in the 1st round of the 2008 player draft from Arizona State. In Low-A Quad Cities, Wallace skipped High-A Palm Beach and was promoted to AA Springfield.

College

While in college at Arizona State, The Sun Devils were preparing to play Fresno State in the 2008 Super Regional round. On June, 10th when the Sun Devils were wrapping up infield practice before the game Wallace, at third base, threw a ball to Ike Davis at first. When Davis did not catch the ball, Wallace went over and had words with Davis and a fight ensued. It was said to be staged for reasons unknown. Professional

In 2008 in the Cardinals' minor league system, Wallace hit .337, hit 8 home runs and drove in 36 in 54 games played between Quad Cities (A) and Springfield (AA).
