Kings Weston Roman Villa

Kings Weston Roman Villa

Kings Weston Roman Villa is a Roman villa near Lawrence Weston to the north west of Bristol.

The villa was discovered during the construction of the Lawrence Weston housing estate in 1947. Two buildings were revealed, only one of which was fully excavated (in 1948-50). Finds from the site are now in the Bristol City Museum.

Based on coins found at the site, the villa was probably built towards the end of the third century AD.
