The Square Ring is a 1953 British film directed by Basil Dearden and made at Ealing Studios. It starred Jack Warner, Joan Collins, Bill Owen, Bill Travers, Joan Sims and Sid James. [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046358/] The plot centered around one night, at a fairly seedy boxing venue. A portmantuea of different stories of the various fighters and spectators.
