Jamsrangiin Sambuu

Jamsrangiin Sambuu (alternatively spelled as Zhamsarangin Sambu, Jamsarangiin Sambu, Jamsarangyin Sambu, Jamsarangyin Sambuu, Jamsrangiin Sambuu, Jamtsarangiin Sambuu) was the chairman of the Great People's Khural presidium of Mongolia from 1954 to 1972. He was effectively president of Mongolia.

J. Sambuu was born in Burensoum of Tuvaimag in 1895 and was educated at home. He served as minister of animal husbandry and crop farming and finance minister. In 1945 he published his well-known book, "Advice to Herdsmen". He was a prominent diplomat and Mongolian ambassador to the Soviet Union during World War II.

President Zhamsarangin Sambu died in May 1972 at the age of 77.
