"Believe Me Baby (I Lied)" is a 1996 single released by American country music singer Trisha Yearwood. It was Yearwood's fourth #1 hit our of the five #1 hits during the course of her career.

The song is about how a woman is apologizing to her lover after saying she wanted him out of her life. She realized it was really her wounded heart telling the lover to leave. The chorus of the song explains the main idea of the song in detail:
