heavy metal band formed inCopenhagen in 2001. As of 2008, their formation consists of vocalist and guitaristMichael Poulsen , guitaristThomas Bredahl , bassistAnders Kjølholm and drummerJon Larsen . The band has released twostudio album s, six singles, oneDVD and two demos.Volbeat was founded by former Dominus members Michael Poulsen and Anders Kjølholm. The band was completed by guitarist
Teddy Vang and drummer Jon Larsen. Volbeat recorded their self-titled demo in 2002, followed by another demo called "Beat the Meat". Franz Gottschalk replaced Teddy Vang before the second demo was recorded. The band was signed byRebel Monster Records , a sublabel ofMascot Records . The debut album "The Strength / The Sound / The Songs " was released in September 2005 and reached number 18 in the danish album charts. The second album "Rock the Rebel / Metal the Devil " was recorded in autumn of 2006. When the recordings were finished, Gottschalk was forced to leave the band. He was replaced by Thomas Bredahl. "Rock the Rebel / Metal the Devil" was released in February 2007 and entered the danish album charts at number one. Their third albumGuitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood was released on 29 August 2008.Studio albums
