Gisselle(b. March 28, 1969) (whose real name is Gisselle Ortiz Cáceres) is an American artist and actress.
Biography
Gisselle was raised in New York where at the age of 15 she began to dance and appear on television. She then joined the group Menudo and performed often in
San Juan, Puerto Rico . Soon after that she became a vocalist for the groupKaviar , then she joined another group know asPunto G . Gisselle then in the early 1990s decide to step into the acting world and played roles in TV series and starred in the movieWeekend War . She then focused on her music career and went on as a solo artist. BMG Records fell in love with her and signed her on to the label. In 1995 she released her self titled debut album "Gisselle", which became a platinum album with two successful singes "Perfume De Mujer En Tu Camisa" and "Pesadilla"." Her career launched off releasing numerous of other albums during the years and collaborating with artist such asSergio Vargas to release the hit "Juntos"." In 1999 she came back on the acting world when she played a role inEl Día Menos Pensado .Gisselle gained success with her 2000 album "Voy a Enamorarte", the album was nominated at the 2001Grammy Awards for Best Merengue Album and later on that year her hit single of the album "Júrame" won aLatin Grammy Award for Best Tropical Song. Since then Gisselle has become popular, especially in her ancestral homeland ofPuerto Rico . She is most famous for her use of the phrase "como, como, como, queeeee" in most of her songs.Discography
