Jorge “Eddie” Gutierrez (born February 13, 1983 in Porterville, California) is an American soccer defender who currently plays for the Carolina RailHawks of the USL First Division.

Youth

Gutierrez attended Porterville High School, graduating in 2001. That fall, he played soccer at Fresno State University before transferring to Fresno Pacific University in 2002. He finished his collegiate career at FPU in 2004. He was a 2003 first team NAIA All American and a 2004 second team All American. Professional

In 2003, Gutierrez began his professional career with the expansion Fresno Fuego in the fourth division Premier Development League. In May 2008, Gutierrez signed with Miami FC in the USL First Division. On August 1, 2008, Miami traded Gutierrez to the Carolina RailHawks in exchange for Connally Edozien.
