Kingsport Braves

The Kingsport Braves, located in Kingsport, Tennessee, were a minor league baseball team that existed from 1974 to 1979. Affiliated with the Atlanta Braves, they played in the Appalachian League. Although they lasted only six seasons, a multiple future major leaguers played for them, including Matt Sinatro, Rick Behenna, Jose Alvarez, Steve Bedrosian, Paul Runge, Brad Komminsk, Milt Thompson, Brook Jacoby and Mike Payne. They played their home games at Dobyns-Bennett High School.
