career_start =Tyrone Conrad “T.Y.” Tang was born on September 25, 1984 standing 5'7" and weighing 135lbs point guard of the De La Salle Green Archers (now playing on PBA). TY held his team to many championships after top players like Renren Ritualo, Mike Cortez, Joseph Yeo graduated. He lead his team well and came to be one of the best point guards in amateur basketball.
Amateur career
He was first known in his high school days as the "hero" of Xavier School for leading his team to victory. Scouts were eying for him until he chose to play with the De La Salle Green Archers when he entered college. When he was starting in the De La Salle University, he was being given a lot of playing time by coach Franz Pumaren during his summer rookie season to train him and give him more experience along with the great players of the school. The school was aiming high and put some expectations to him because of the graduating star players of Green Archers. But it turned out that TY also did the rest of the work when he lead his team to several championships.

PBL
After leading the Archers in the Season 70 championship he joined the Harbour Centre in the PBL.He had his career high on the openning game with 26 points against the RP Team. At the season's finals his team finds themselves the "underdog" against Hapee, a team led by Fil-Am Gabe Norwood. He and Mercado led the team to an incredible come from behind-win against Hapee. Tang was awarded PBL MVP of the Finals series for his performance.
National Team
Tang was also part of the RP Team that was the runner-up in the SEABA tournament. Tang, a rookie international campaigner was the team's scoring machine averaging 18ppg. Though they ended up losing to Indonesia, their only loss in the tournament.
PBA
On August 31, 2008, at the PBA Draft at Market!Market!, Tyrone was drafted to the Welcoat Dragons.
