Appearance

Although this breed is not recognized or well-known, most owners say that the Brindisi Wrestler Dog is usually between 22 and 28 inches at the withers, and can be between 40-70 pounds. the breed normally has a stocky build, not racy. Resembling larger Pit Bulls and Bandogges, this Italian breed has a wide chest, broad shoulders and a muscular body, with strong legs, a powerful neck and a large head, which can be of any type. It can come in almost any coat color, though most common are black, white, blue, fawn, brindle, and red. The tail and ears are usually cropped for fighting specimens, but dogs left in their natural state can be found as well.
