Cosimo Commisso (born in Siderno, February 6, 1950), also known as "the quail" ("'u quagghia"), is an Italian criminal and a member of the 'Ndrangheta, a mafia-type organisation in Calabria. He belongs to and was the boss of the Commisso 'ndrina based in Siderno.[1]

He took over the reins of the clan from his father Francesco Commisso (born in 1913), who had been the right hand man of the historical 'Ndrangheta boss of Siderno, Antonio Macrì.[1][2]

The Commisso clan has a branch in Canada, in the Greater Toronto Area, which is part of the wider Siderno Group.[3]

He is described as the most notorious member of the group and its former leader, and is currently serving a life sentence in Italy for his involvement with the 'Ndrangheta.[4]
