"nihongo|"truth/Kaze no Mukou e"|truth/風の向こうへ ("Kaze no Mukou e" in Japanese, translates to "Beyond the Wind") is the twenty third single of the Japanese boy band, Arashi. It was released on August 20, 2008 [ [http://www.johnnys-net.jp/j/artists/arashi/disco/disco_single.html# Arashi Discography] Johnny's net. Retrieved August 15, 2008.] , in three editions; a normal edition containing a bonus track and karaoke versions of all the songs released in the single, and two limited edition both containing a DVD with a music video of one of the A-side tracks. This is the group's first double A-side single in 4 years since their 13th single Hitomi no Naka no Galaxy/Hero. The regular edition release is the first once since the single "Nice na Kokoroiki" in 2002 to not have the members featured in the cover.

The single is currently the group's 2nd best selling single behind their debut single A・RA・SHI. As of October 8th, 2008, it has sold an estimated 601,703 copies thus making it to be the 1st single for the year to cross the 600,000 mark in less than 2 months.

"truth / Kaze no Mukou e" is currently Japan's top selling single for the year 2008.

Single Information

"truth"

sample box endThe song is the theme song of the television drama nihongo|"Maou"|魔王, which starred Arashi member Satoshi Ohno in his first lead role, and fellow Johnny's Entertainment talent, Ikuta Toma. The promotional video premiered on August 7, 2008. The song, which was been described as a fast-paced dance number, has a "dark" feel to it, similar to the drama's setting and atmosphere. "Kaze no Mukou e"

The song is the theme song for NTV's 2008 Summer Olympics Coverage which featured Sakurai Sho as the main caster. The promotional video premiered on August 8, 2008, in time for the opening ceremony. Prior to the video's release, News Zero ran a feature featuring Sakurai writing and recording the song. Arashi also sang the theme song for NTV's coverage of the 2004 Olympic Games four years earlier, with the song "Hero". In stark contrast to "truth", "Kaze no mukou e" which translates to "Beyond the Wind", is a more upbeat pop song that, in tradition with other songs used by Japanese broadcasters for their respective Olympic coverage, tries to inspire athletes.
* Lyrics: Shinya Tada
* Rap Lyrics: Sakurai Sho
* Composed by: Pippi Svensson, Anders Dannvik
* Arranged by: Hans Johnson

"Smile"
