- Glen "Archie" Gamble
Glen "Archie" Gamble is a 40 year old drummer from London, Ontario, Canada. He has been playing drums for 30 years-20+ of those professionally. He has had the privilege of playing with some classic bands, both as a side-man and in an opening capacity, and toured with some of his heroes-KISS, Alice Cooper, Vince Neil, Paul Rodgers, Robert Plant etc. As well as some cool younger bands-Sum 41, KAOS, The Trews, Finger 11 and more.
As a member of Helix (1996-2004) he was able to play on 2 EMI/Capitol releases, as well as a live concert DVD put out by EMI International. He also recorded 3 indie releases for this band. Prior to this, Glen was in a band called Buffalo Brothers on Attic/Universal, almost, but not quite cracking the Canadian Top 40 (#41!)
Recently,"Archie" played drums for the band The Joys (www.thejoys.ca) and they signed to Koch Records Canada, after selling over 20,000 cds off of the stage on our own. They also saw their independent 3-song single go gold in September 2007. This summer (
July 11 ,2008 ) saw the national release of album "Unfold". Gamble left the band in July 2008. He is currently free-lancing and doing session work.
