Diaspora, Society and the Fight Against Antisemitism Minister of Israel

The Diaspora, Society and the Fight Against Antisemitism Minister ( _he. שר לענייני תפוצות, חברה ומאבק באנטישמיות) is a post in the Israeli cabinet.

The post was established by Ehud Barak's government in 1999 as the Minister of Social and Diaspora Affairs. However, it was dropped from the cabinet by Ariel Sharon following his victory in the 2001 election for Prime Minister. It was resurrected after the 2003 elections and given to Natan Sharansky, but was scrapped again after the 2006 elections, but re-established on 21 March 2007 under its new name when it was given to the Labor Party's Isaac Herzog, who had been removed from the Tourism Minister post due to Yisrael Beiteinu being added to the coalition government.

Melchior briefly served as Deputy Minister between June and November 2005 (during which time Labour-Meimad joined the government).
