text = Vicekorpral (Vicekonstapel in the artillery) is a now obsolete Swedish rank above Menig and below Korpral that existed until 1972 for deputy squad leaders. The rank was prior 1972 a trainee rank for conscripts who were undertaking training to become squad leaders.The rank corresponded at that time to Lance Corporal of the USMC and British Army.
