"Best I Ever Had" is the third, and most recent, single by State of Shock from their album, "Life, Love & Lies". It is about a man who is wanting to apologize to his ex-girlfriend for ending their relationship. The majority of the song tells about how he realized that he threw away the best relationship he ever had and how he wants to seek reconciliation. The song's main issues deal with forgiveness and loss. It has reached #36 on the Canadian Hot 100. A music video was released in early September and features Melnyk singing in the rain playing piano, while it flicks back to times with his girlfriend.
