Fayoum Light Railway

The Fayoum Light Railway was a RailGauge|750mm gauge Egyptian light railway, construction of which began in 1898. It served an irrigation district south of Cairo, centred on the provincial capital of Medinet-el-Fayoum. The railway comprised 7, mostly roadside, branch lines with a total length of 97 miles.
