The company was originally founded by Jerry Cifarelli, current CEO, and former co-owner of the
Boston Celtics ,Alan N. WNBA to provide each team with all of its rotational signage, and, in 1998, the Company signed up 19 new customers for courtside and backlit fascia rotational signage. Today ANC is the supplier of rotational signage for more than 200 teams and venues in professional and collegiate sports.In 1999 the Company formed a new division called ANC Technologies. ANC Technologies developed FasciaSOFT®, an operating engine for LED systems, permitting the company to debut the first 360° LED fascia signage in the National Hockey League. Continued growth in the LED signage business led to the formation of ANC Marketing in 1999 and ANC Design in 2001. ANC Marketing was formed to create and grow sponsorship revenue streams by executing programs based on each individual client’s business. In 2001, ANC Design was formed to meet its clients’ graphic needs created by their new LED fascia systems.
From 2002 through 2004, as the Company grew its presence in the LED signage market, ANC was selected to provide ongoing operational services for digital fascia and scoreboard signage installations at a number of venues including Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, the
Baltimore Ravens ’M&T Bank Stadium , and the Minnesota Timberwolves’Target Center .In 2005, ANC debuted a new LED operating software called VisionSOFT. VisionSOFT was first 3D interface capable of controlling multiple displays through one console and is capable of distributing uncompressed video to its displays, eliminating all distortion. The VisionSOFT application also operates a DLP Courtside Digital Press Table, which became the first courtside digital signage to be approved for an NBA event during the 2005-06 season.
Over the past two years, ANC has expanded ANC Marketing into national advertising sales, and formed a manufacturing relationship with
Mitsubishi Electric . The company has completed recent large LED signage projects such as theWashington Nationals ’ new ballpark (2008), Washington D.C.’sVerizon Center , Portland’sRose Garden , and theSommet Center in Nashville. ANC Marketing has also signedState Farm to a multi-year sponsorship agreement, generating more than $12 million of annual advertising revenue forNCAA ,NBA ,NHL , andMLB teams.Recent Projects

ANC Sports was recently contracted to installLED ribbon board signage forPenn State at Beaver Stadium and the Bryce Jordan Center. ANC Sports and Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Vision Systems recently installed a high-definition scoreboard and video displays at the Nationals new ballpark which opened in April 2008.
