Velagadurru is well connected with road network. It is just 7 KM off from NH5. You have to get down from NH5 at Tanuku toward Undrajavaram. Go 3 KM towards Undrajavaram on cement road from left of NH5 at Undrajavaram road junction at tanuku. From Undrajavaram it is just 3 kilometers away on right.

Nearest rail station is Tanuku which is 10km away. The nearest railway junction is Tadepalligudem which is 25km way and well connection with all routes.

Currently there is no government organized public transportation available to this village, however there are plenty of auto rickshaws operated from Tanuku to this village for every few minutes. These auto rickshaws are shared base or can hire individually. Also Car taxi service available from Tanuku to this village though it is little expensive that auto rickshaws.

There is primary located in the village which is accessible to everybody up to 5th class. The present strength of the school is around 150 students with 5 teachers. Students need to go to Tadiparru which is neighbor village 1 KM away. Students usually go there by cycles for studying 6th to 10th class. For college, students needs to go to Tanuku.

There is primary health care center is available in the village supported by Byrraju Foundation. The health care center is open daily from morning to evening with health assistant. Physician visit the hospital daily in the afternoon.

This village has good water resources which you can directly drink from wells and hand pumps. Most of the people drink water directly from bore well. Nowadays people started using purified water supplied by Byrraju Foundation which is very economical. There is canal passing by village and Godavari river is near by 3 km.

Source of Income

The complete village is dependent on agriculture. This village has good water resources and most of the agriculture is commercial farms like Coconut, Banana, Sugarcane and other vegetables and small amount of paddy. Farmers do have good amount of poultry forms here.

Other Organizations

There is other social organization actively helping the village people is 'Sri Mudunuri Venkata Satyanrayana Raju Charitable Society' which is founded by Dr. Satyaranarayana Raju who is from this village and then migrated to US.Recently Spandana foundation started helping the poor and meritorious students from this village and neighboring village Tadiparru by providing Books and Uniforms.

People Migration

People from this village are migrated to different parts of the world for both education and employment purposes. Nowadays people are getting awareness about the important of education and every one is trying to make their children well educated.

This village has many economically forward people when compared to rest of the places. Though not all people are rich, you can find good amount of rich people here because of kind of lands they have.
