Sammy Sholei

Sammy Sholei Tiyoi is a former Kenya national football team player born on 18th May 1967.

Sholei began his football career in Kitale town, in the Rift Valley Province.

Sholei, a lanky and effective midfielder played for Rivatex FC and Raymonds FC (both now defunct) before moving to Kenya Breweries FC (now renamed Tusker FC)

Sholei was part of the Kenya Breweries FC team that reached the finals of the CAF Cup Winners' Cup in 1994 that failed to hang on to a 2-2 away draw to succumb to a shocking 3-0 loss at the hands of Zaire's DC Motema Pembe in the return tie in Nairobi. He retired from club and international Soccer in 1997.

He was also a national team player, having earned his first call up under Coach Mohamed Kheri back in 1991. He earned 20 Caps for the National team.

Sholei is currently the Chief Executive Officer of a vibrant IT firm [http://www.eworldcom.co.ke/ E-World Communications] , a firm he founded in 2005 that offers IT Consultancy.

In 2008, Sholei discovered he had a hidden talent as a journalist and has been enlisted in Kenya's leading soccer site [http://www.kenyafootball.com/index.php?doc=home KenyaFootball]
