Their golden years came in the mid nineties, when they were led by Robert Oblak, son of Slovenian football legend, Branko Oblak, who came to Črnuče as manager in 1995. They finished third in Slovenian Second League 1995-96, but then expectedly refused promotion. They merged with nearby NK Factor in 1997 and the team moved to Factor's home ground in Ježica, suburb of Ljubljana. Črnuče then reestablished their own squad to play on domestic Športni park Črnuče in lower divisions, but they never came higher as 4. level.
