Julia Smit

Julia Smit (born December 14 1987 at Santa Rosa, California) is an American swimmer. She was part of the silver medal winning team of the 4 x 100 metre freestyle relay at the 2008 Summer Olympics, after she swam in the heats. Smit currently is a member of the Swimming and Diving team at Stanford University, where she is a 6-time All-American as a freshman. She graduated from Mount Sinai High School in Long Island New York. As a high school student-athlete she set New York State records in the 100 yard backstroke and 200 Individual Medley, swimming with the Three Village Swim Club.
