- John M. Hannon
John M. Hannon (born 9/12/1960) is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Management at the University at Buffalo. Prior to returning to Buffalo, he taught at Purdue's Krannert School of Management for seven years (1991-1999). He is a graduate of Clarkson University (BS), the University at Buffalo (MBA), and Cornell University (Ph.D.).
Dr. Hannon has taught and lectured around the world, including stints in Japan, Singapore, China, Korea, Taiwan, and Russia.
He has taught over 500 MBA students in the entrepreneurship courses he offers at Buffalo. Dozens of his students have gone on to form and run their own successful businesses.
In addition to his role as an educator, Hannon has served the communities he has lived in as a youth sports coach (baseball & hockey) and mentor.
Hannon is the author of the "Hockey Goalies Handbook" (McGraw-Hill), the best selling goalie instructional book of all time.
Most recently, Hannon authored his first novel entitled, "Full Force." It is the coming of age story of a troubled teen who becomes a better man. This novel is being adapted for a feature film to be shot in Buffalo in October of 2008.
