Ivan Colin Docker (b.
3 December 1925 ) was the 2ndAnglican Bishop of Horsham from 1975 [The Times , Saturday, Feb 01, 1975; pg. 16; Issue 59309; col B "Archbishop Coggan’s first consecration"] until 1991. Educated atKing Edward's School, Birmingham ,Birmingham University andSt Catherine's College, Cambridge [Who's Who 1992 London,A & C Black , 1991 ISBN 0713635142] , he studied for ordination atWycliffe Hall, Oxford before embarking on anecclesiastical career with a Curacy inNormanton, Derbyshire ["Debrett's People of Today": 1990, London,Debrett's ISBN 1870520090] . From 1954 he wasSecretary of the CMS [Crockfords,(London, Church House 1975) ISBN 0108153674 ] and, after spells asVicar ofMidhurst andSeaford he was appointedRural Dean ofEastbourne in 1971. Four years later he was elevated to theEpiscopate .
