"Heterandria" is a genus of livebearing fishes within the family Poeciliidae. This is the same family that includes familiar aquarium fishes such as guppies and swordtails. Species within "Heterandria" are not common aquarium fish, although "Heterandria formosa", also known as the Least Killifish or Dwarf Livebearer is sometimes kept. Most species live in the wild in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and possibly El Salvador, but "Heterandria formosa" comes from southeast United States. "Heterandria formosa" is one of the smallest known fish in the world.
