Tim Mickleburgh

Tim Mickleburgh (b. Grimsby, 1961) is a well known local writer in Grimsby and Cleethorpes.

He regularly writes into the local newspaper, the Grimsby Telegraph about important local issues. He also writes to other newspapers such as The Times, the Daily Mail and the Yorkshire Post. He has also had several books published.

He is also the Honorary Vice President of the National Piers Society, having previously been Chairman (1995-2003). Amongst the books he has written are "The Guide to British Piers", "Piers:Photographic Memories", "Piers:Glory Days", "Piers of the North" and "Cleethorpes Pier and Promenade". As a local historian he has written on matters such as "A Short History of Welholme Galleries", "Macaulay Memories" and "Freemo and Grimsby:Photographic Memories".

He also serves as secretary of the "Friends of the Freshney" and a committee member for the "Macaulay Area Action Group".
