Romola Butalia completed school from Loreto House, Calcutta, graduated with honours in economics from
Miranda House and did her post-graduation fromDelhi School of Economics ,University of Delhi . After a brief stint in the travel trade, she spent time in the experiential learning of Eastern philosophy.As a freelance journalist, she wrote for major Indian newspapers and magazines including
The Times of India ,The Economic Times , The Independent,Gentleman (magazine) , The Observer andPioneer , among others. With the advent of satellite TV in India, she produced an arts based serial, directed a serial on women’s issues, and did interviews forStar Movies in the making of programs like Behind the Scenes and Interviews with Directors/Stars.She was Editor of India Travelog, which was jointly presented by IndiaWorld, later Sify, and her. Thereafter she was Editor, Myindia.com. She also worked as Head Portals with 123India.com. She also teaches Yoga & Vedic Sciences.
