Balloon wine

Balloon wine is a homemade drink that combines fruit and sugar [http://www.recipezaar.com/105462] to create a fermented product similar to non-homemade, modern wines.

History

Balloon wine gets its name because in order to make the drink you need to fill the contents of the balloon with sugar, after 4-6 weeks [http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,191,150191-225200,00.html] , the sugar along with the fruit inside the balloon ferments, therefore expanding the balloon and telling the winemaker that the wine is ready. Once the wine has been fermented, it is ready to drink or can be fermented for a longer period of time in wine glasses.
