Adventure Theatre is a
theatre program at Glen Echo Park in Glen Echo,Maryland . According to its website, the program, which was founded in 1951, "is the longest-running theatre program for children and families in the Washington metropolitan area and has been one of the main attractions at Glen Echo Park since 1971". *1971 – After supporters negotiated with theNational Park Service , AT finds a permanent home in Glen Echo Park’s Old Arcade Building
*1972 – AT opened with a performance of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears " in its new home
*1974 – The In-School Players, AT’s professional traveling troupe, is launched
