Guasopa Airport airport codes|GAZ, is a airport at Guasopa on Woodlark Island, in the Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea.

History

Built by the 60th US Naval Construction Battalion after Operation Chronicle, the occupation Woodlark Island during World War II. A single convert|3000|ft|m x convert|150|ft|m coral surfaced runway was constructed shortly afterwards. The runway was expanded to convert|6500|ft|m x convert|225|ft|m and a parallel runway of convert|6000|ft|m x convert|60|ft|m was also built, together with 110 hardstands. The airifeld was also known as "Woodlark Airfield". The airfield was used as a stopover point and refuelling point.
