Swallen has developed and runs programs for pre-schoolers (Minikickers), teaching them basic soccer skills. He coaches an under 18 boys team, co-coaches (with wife, Sharon Swallen) the Mounds view high girl's varsity soccer team, does goalie coaching for the Minnesota Thunder, as well as numerous private coaching roles.
