Tanveer Ahmed (born
25 August 1974 ) is anBangladesh i-Australia n comedian, journalist, television personality and doctor working in the field ofmental health .Biography
Ahmed was born in Bangladesh but was raised in the western suburbs of
Sydney ,Australia . He was educated atSydney Grammar School andSydney University , where he studied medicine, graduating in2000 . He represented theAustralian Medical Association as the national representative for training doctors in2006 -2007 . SBS TV , and appeared regularly on radio and television discussing issues pertaining to multiculturalism and mental health issues. He is also a regular contributor to the major newspapers, most commonly theSydney Morning Herald . As a comedian, Ahmed was a dual state finalist during theTriple J Raw Comedy tournament and played the part of the Bingo Commissioner in the axedChannel Seven game show "National Bingo Night".
