Marshall Curry
Curry at the 2009 Tribeca Film FestivalMarshall Curry is a documentary filmmaker. His first feature-length film, Street Fight, was nominated for an Academy Award[1] and a News and Documentary Emmy. His second film, Racing Dreams, won Best Documentary and was runner up for the Audience Award[2] at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2009. His third film, If a Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front, won the award for Best Documentary Editing at the Sundance Film Festival 2011. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Early life
Before his commercial success, Curry worked as senior producer at Icon Nicholson, a New York multimedia design firm.
He is a graduate of Swarthmore College where he majored in Comparative religion. He was also a Jane Addams Fellow at Indiana University’s Center on Philanthropy.[3]
