John Stapleton, artist

(Living artist) is an Austin, Texas based visual artist known for emotive portraiture.
Stapleton was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan and raised near Austin, Texas.

Exhibited in galleries and shows primarily in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and throughout the southwest.

Stapleton's Blank Canvas Project (TM) has included painting on stage with such musicians as Slaid Cleaves, Dar Williams, Will Taylor and Strings Attached, and Sounds Under Radio.

Notable owners of Stapleton's work include Peter Fonda, Michael Everist, Steve Frederick, and Michael Martin Murphey.
