"Proxiuber hulmei" is a small species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Naticidae.

Distribution

This species is endemic to New Zealand north of Auckland.

Habitat

This species is found in deep water.

Description

The shell is smaller than "Proxiuber australe", and proportionately wider, with a distinctive colour pattern of two broad spiral series of reddish-brown maculations on a white ground, covered by a very thin translucent-buff periostracum.

The shell height is up to 4.2 mm, and width is up to 4.5 mm.
