Yeap Wai Kiang

Professor Yeap Wai Kiang (born in Kangar, Perak) is a Malaysian Academic based in New Zealand.

He was educated at the Anglo Chinese School in Kampar, Taylor's College in Kuala Lumpur before taking his Bachelor's Degree and PhD at the University of Essex in England. Due to a lack of employment opportunities after graduation, Yeap joined the University of Otago as a lecturer, specialising in the field of artificial intelligence. He is now the Director of the Institute for Information Technology Research at the Auckland University of Technology.
