    Biography

Paul Di Leo achieved success in the 1990s, as the front man and lead vocalist of the San Francisco based disco group,"Imitation of Life" and their power hit video & single "Luscious Love". Paul is also a licensed Real Estate Agent for Pacific Union & Christie’s Great Estates, a Doctor of Chiropractic and an advocate of the Lions Club International serving the visually impaired. He is a member of the www.amerchiro.org and an alumnus of the famous Palmer College of Chiropractic where he received his Doctorate in 1986 while performing across the country during school breaks.

Pauly D recorded extensively doing lead tracks for aspiring singers looking for a jazz flare. His scat is impeccable and his presence on stage envelops an audience beyond belief. Being able to cross over from Jazz to neo-soul, Pauly D adds style and grace and a fresh new eloquent approach to songs gone by making them a favorite love again in an adult contemporary fashion. He also recorded and performed Motown music by bringing back such hits as “"Your Precious Love"” by [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashford_&_Simpson Nicholas Ashford] and [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashford_&_Simpson Valorie Simpson] and “"All This Love",” by El DeBarge. Paul’s producer Clinton Day for the ‘Late Night’ project is the bassist for Mic Gillette Band (Trumpet player from Tower of Power). Paul Di Leo records at [http://www.faultlinestudios.com Faultline Recording Studios ] in San Francisco along with their many select star clients including Scraping For Change.

    Performances

Pauly frequently performed in the 80’s and early 90’s with his quartet on more intimate venues at San Francisco’s Jazz hot spot [http://www.rasselasjazzclub.com Rasselas] . Pauly made several late night San Francisco guest appearances with his band ‘Imitation of Life’ at South of Market Bay Area Clubs such as Club Universe and the Pleasure Dome as well as the notorious Folsom Street Fair. On the controversial Halloween in the Castro, he performed Club Dance Music dressed as a Werewolf with the Box Dancers break dancing behind him on stage. Many of his guest appearances were in support of raising funds for Aids and Breast Cancer research.

Pauly has performed at the San Francisco’s famous clubs [http://www.bimbos365club.com Bimbo’s 365] in 1996 and the Venetian Room at the [http://www.fairmont.com Fairmont Hotel] in 1989 with the show “"You the Night and the Music"”.
