Torrington Twisters

The Torrington Twisters are a summer collegiate baseball league team that is located in Torrington, Connecticut. Fuessenich Park, located within the downtown area of Torrington, has been the Twisters home since entering the New England Collegiate Baseball League in the 1997 season. Players in the NECBL use wooden bats, as opposed to aluminum, and are college baseball players recruited from the top intercollegiate baseball programs in the United States. The Twisters have appeared in league finals four times in their history (1997, 1998, 2003, 2006), and have twice had Fuessenich play host to the NECBL All-Star Game (1998, 2008).
