Daud Gazale

Daúd Jared Gazale Álvarez (b. August 10th of 1984) is a chilean soccer player, that plays as a forward for the Chilean club Colo Colo.

Career

Gazale began his career in Huachipato, making his debut in that same team, but his professional debut would not be up until 2005 with Deportes Concepción. He is a very skillful forward, with a lot of speed, and strength, great ball control, goal scorer, and play maker. He is the new southern promise among his generation.

The great season that Gazale had with Deportes Concepción gave him a lot of notice, being that Eduardo Berizzo nominated him to play for the chilean national team that played the tournament for Under-23 players in Malaysia.

The idea of the couching staff is for him to adapt himself to the couching work of Marcelo Bielsa for a future nomination for the 2008 world cup qualifiers.

He had many offers, like the one from Paris Saint-Germain Football Club from France, and the one from Real Betis Balompié from Spain, to that one has to add the three great clubs from Chile, Club Deportivo Universidad Católica, Club de Fútbol Universidad de Chile, and last but not least Colo Colo, the club who finally was able to sign him, and that paid 400,000 dollars for him. His contract will be for 4 years.

He scored his first goal with Colo Colo on Wednesday, June 25th, 2008, against Club de Fútbol Universidad de Chile in the stadium Tierra de Campeones from Iquique playing for the "copa gato", and the next day, Thursday June 26th, he was presented at "Monumental Stadium" together with Macnelly Torres and Luis Pedro Figueroa, as the new additions to the Colo Colo squad.
