Skive Magazine

Skive Magazine

Skive Magazine is a short story magazine created in November 2003.
• 'Skive' is an old British expression meaning to 'make an effort not to work'. Australians have taken the word and the concept to their hearts.
• Skive started off as a monthly ezine, publishing short stories, articles & comics.
Australian publisher Matthew Glenn Ward created Skive after graduating from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
January 2006 saw the last ezine issue, and in March 2006 Skive started printing a monthly magazine through a self-publishing company in the USA.
• 4 issues were published in March, April, May & June, 2006.
• In September 2008, the first of the new quarterly issues were published. Quarterly issues have been produced ever since.
• Over 400 authors from around the world have been published through Skive.
