Alan Farrell

Alan Farrell (Irish: "Ailín O'Fearghail", born in Dublin, 1977) is an Irish Fine Gael politician. He has been a Councillor since June 11th 2004 with Fingal County Council following a 3 1/2 week campaign at the request of former Minister for Justice, Nora Owen.

He is also the chairman of the Fingal Joint Policing Committee.

He attended primary school in his home town of Malahide and secondary school at Chanel College, Coolock in Dublin City. He later attended Waterford Institute of Technology.

Farrell was unsuccessful in his attempt to become the Fine Gael candidate for the Dublin North constituency in the 2007 general election, garnering just under 35% of the votes at this parties convention in 2006.
