The Savoy Hotel is located on the North Shore Blackpool sea front in Blackpool, England. This Hotel has 145 bedrooms and 6 conference suites.

History

The Savoy Hotel is one of the oldest Hotels in Blackpool. It was opened on the 11th March 1915 and took 13 months to complete. The entrepreneurs behind the Savoy were a Mr and Mrs Westlake.

Mr Leslie Firth acquired the Savoy in the early 1980’s. He gave the hotel a £500000 facelift that included an enlarged ballroom and making all the rooms en suite. In 1983 the Savoy French Restaurant was opened. Again in 1988 and 1998 the hotel changed hands and was again fully refurbished. In May 2006 Britannia Hotels purchased the hotel and was the third hotel that the Britannia Group owned in Blackpool area.
