Therese Muchewicz

Therese Muchewicz is a British politician. She is the secretary and acting leader of the Veritas Party.

Muchewicz was educated at Durham University, where she read theology. She later studied at Leeds University after completing a post-graduate Law degree. She worked as a teacher of religious education and a part-time law lecturer before retiring in 1995. After retiring, she became heavily involved in her local community of Bradford, chairing the Bradford Community Housing Trust and dealing with issues surrounding the Bradford Riots.

Muchewicz was a founding member of Veritas in early 2005. She contested the Bradford South constituency in the 2005 general election, finishing bottom with 421 votes (1.2% of the total). She later became the party secretary with responsibility for a number of party processes. When leader Patrick Eston resigned in 2008 she became acting leader of the party.
